How to read a milwaukee serial number - Milwaukee Drills. Posted by Anonymous on Dec 05, 2013. Digit date code of 0 0 2 1 t h r u 0044 imprinted on its body. The date code can be found stamped on the top of the battery housing. Limit my search to r/Tools. Just an FYI for those who have Milwaukee's RedLithium.
Anyone know how to read the date code? I bought a few new from HD that had promo's from 2014 and 2015 inside the box so they where sitting in inventory for awhile. I have the receipts but one seems to have a weak battery that drains pretty damn fast. I had a M18 battery doing the same thing, was about 6 months old. Ran by a local Milwaukee dealer/repair center one day after work. Guy took it in the back, tested it and brought me a new battery, said 'I'm sorry, here's your new battery'.
Took all of 10 minutes, the dealer did have popcorn, bottle water and a soda fountain for the customers. I was so impressed that I went over a month later and bought my next Milwaukee tool from them.
Told the manager I was very happy with their service. Go to Milwaukee and sign up at the Heavy Duty Club. You can also add your other brands in there with the serial numbers, where purchased etc in case of fire or ripoff or asteroid strike. Once your in there the counter clowns look at it see all your shit with the info they'll get off of your back. Dropbox is another good place to put scans of your receipts and stuff in for counter clowns who feel like its THEIR money you're trying to 'steal'. I'm no milwaukee fanboy but I will say the people that are authorized dealers are usually cool and professional.and well stocked with parts and what not.

I cannot find any coupon any where in my local store. I show this link at the customer service desk.
At least my local store has a copy the scan code at the CS desk. If you find one with the free light/USB and want to get 10% off with HD credit card, take your combo kit to the CS desk and ask a CSR to look the free XC battery scan code. I paid $161.1 + tax paid using HD credit card. Thanks OP and drift59 for the free battery, LED light, USB adaptor.

My LED light has 1541 date code. It was manufactured on the week of Oct 5, 2015 (week 41 of 2015). Keep your receipt for warranty claim. Otherwise, Milwaukee will use the manufacturing date code to determine the warranty claim. Based on my experience, they always go by the date code on the battery or tool, they couldnt care less about when you purchased it. May 3rd, 2016 7:32 amhere's a screaming deal.
